What stays on your device

• Everything you log, your goal and your settings.
• If you turn on Apple Health, each glass is saved to Health as water intake, and water logged by other apps is read back to keep your daily total right. You control this in Settings, Privacy & Security, Health. Data already in Health must be removed there.
• iCloud backup (optional, off until you turn it on). If you turn on iCloud backup in Profile, Hydrabit saves a copy of your drink log, goal and settings as one file in your own iCloud account, and can restore it on your other devices. Hydrabit has no server of its own, cannot read that file and never receives it. Turn it off in Profile or in Settings, your name, iCloud, and remove the file there too.
• Sharing a challenge picture. When you share a challenge, Hydrabit makes a picture on your device and hands it to the share sheet. If you choose “Save Image”, Hydrabit asks for permission to add to your Photos (add-only: it cannot read your library). Nothing is uploaded by Hydrabit.
• Sending feedback. “Send feedback” in Profile opens an email to us, filled in with what you chose. It is sent by your own Mail app only when you press Send, and includes the app and iOS version so we can reproduce a problem.
• If you use the Apple Watch app, your daily total and goal are sent between your iPhone and your watch by Apple's Watch Connectivity. They do not go anywhere else.

What Hydrabit connects to

• Apple's App Store, to sell and verify Hydrabit Essential. Apple handles payment; Hydrabit never sees your payment details and learns only whether you have an active purchase.
• A content delivery network, to download the articles and challenges shown in Tips and Challenges. The app asks for one public document. The request contains no personal information and no identifier, though, like any request on the internet, it reveals your device's IP address to that network, which serves the file. Without a connection, Hydrabit uses the copy built into the app.

What Hydrabit does not do

• No account, no login, no email address collected.
• No analytics, advertising, tracking or third-party SDKs.
• No data is sold or shared.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes the local database and settings. “Delete all data” in Hydrabit's settings does the same without removing the app. Anything already written to Apple Health stays in Health; remove it there if you want it gone.

Children

Hydrabit does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
